I did my PhD on combined DFT simulations and experiments of near edge X-ray absorption spectroscopy (NEXAFS) techniques at Bangor University in Wales, United Kingdom. Previously, I did a MSc on spin-dependent quantum transport applying DFT and non-equilibrium Green’s functions at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC) in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Before I moved to Prague, I spent a year as visiting researcher at the Chemistry Department in Texas A&M University, USA , building theoretical NEXAFS libraries of point defects in graphene. At the Institute of Physics in Prague, I am implementing approaches for molecular electronic transport.
