John Cox is University Librarian at National University of Ireland, Galway where he has worked since 1999, previously as Deputy Librarian. He manages the development of a range of digitization, institutional repository and archives services and partnerships at NUI Galway, with a particular emphasis in recent times on digital preservation of, and access to, unique and distinctive collections. He is a member of the Consortium of National and University Libraries (CONUL) and is Chair of the Irish Research eLibrary (IReL) Steering Group.
