Lana Meiqari

I joined NKI in May 2019 working with the data stewardship team of the Translational Gastrointestinal Oncology (TGO) group in a multi-disciplinary setting to plan and execute data management tasks for a variety of research projects and to support researchers in managing datasets and effectively use the data-related tools within Health-RI Network and other data infrastructure platforms. I received my medical degree from Damascus University, Syria (2007), and obtained a master's of science in public health specialised in epidemiology from Emory University, USA (2012). For the last five years, I have been working on my PhD project at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, focusing on continuity of hypertension care at primary health care in resource-constrained settings with Vietnam as a case study.
