An engineer from the Ecole Centrale de Lyon, he obtained his doctorate in process engineering from the Institut National Agronomique de Paris-Grignon (AgroParisTech) in 1994. In 1991, he joined INRA as a research engineer to design and develop sensors and software sensors and sensors for food and pharmaceutical bioprocesses within the Food Process Engineering and Microbiology (GMPA) unit. Since 2004, it has been part of the LBE (Laboratoire de Biotechnologie de l'Environnement) where its research activities concern the design and development of prototypes, sensors, software sensors and the computerization and control of anaerobic digestion processes producing methane and hydrogen. He is a project manager in the development and installation of information systems. He is co-responsible, at INRA, for the CODEX Automatic Information Processing Centre (CATI) - Knowledge and Experimental Data. He is co-author of 92 articles in peer-reviewed journals, 14 book chapters, 5 patents, 4 software, 1 spectral database, 5 know-how exploitation licenses, 100 presentations in international conferences including 3 invited conferences.
