Andreas received a B.Sc. degree in telecommunications (2006) and a Ph.D. in the field of optical networks (2010) both from the Department of Telecommunications Science and Technology of the University of Peloponnese. In 2007 he joined the Optical Networking Group of the University of Peloponnese where he worked as a research associate until 2012. He has participated in a number of research projects, EU and Greek national funded, on the field of optical networks.
For the past years he has been working as a Consulting Project Manager, specializing in the management and coordination of R&D projects, having participated in a number of projects, mostly of the ICT sector and especially the e-infrastructure, big data and privacy area. He has been providing consulting services to universities, research centers and industry.
Andreas is an advocate of open source and the open data movement and I have a strong experience and understanding of data and knowledge management.
