He holds a bachelor's degree in Physics from the Federal University of Bahia (1988), a specialization in Brazilian Education from the Federal University of Bahia (1992) and a PhD in Physics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2004). He is currently a professor at the Feira de Santana State University. He has experience in the Field of Wisdom of Physics and in the Field of Wisdom of Education, with emphasis in Physics, in the areas of Physics of Particles and Fields, Mathematical Physics, Teaching of Physics, and History and Philosophy of Physics; and Education, in the areas of Specific Curricula for Levels and Types of Education, and Social Function of Education. He is mainly interested in the following subjects: Field Physics, Casimir Effect, Teaching-Learning Process and Curriculum, History and Philosophy in Teaching and Research in Physics, Social Movements, Field Education and Social and Environmental Education.
