I'm an experienced research information professional with considerable experience in data management and data service delivery within a broad range of disciplines and innovative academic support settings. Recent roles include Associate Data Librarian at the University of Edinburgh advising university researchers on managing, cleaning, subsetting and extracting numeric and encoded data for analysis and teaching. I Instructed and taught on undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the Universitiy of Edinburgh and was co-author of the Research Data MANTRA open online training course. I successfully managed and delivered projects for local and national funding bodies and co-ordinated and delivered Trusted Digital Repository (TDR) accreditation and certification for the University of Edinburgh’s open data infrastructure and the Cornell Institute for Social & Economic Research (CISER) data archive whilst on secondment. More recently I was Senior Officer, Producer Relations & Research Data Management at the UK Data Archive and Deputy Evidence and Document Manager for the Scottish Child Abuse Public Enquiry. I'm currently Digital Archivist at Historic Environment Scotland.
