Abdelkader HAMEURLAIN

Abdelkader Hameurlain is a full Professor in Computer Science at the Paul Sabatier University, Toulouse, France, and a member of the IRIT Laboratory. His current research interests are query processing and optimisation in parallel and large-scale distributed environments, mobile databases and database performance. Professor Hameurlain has been the General Chair of the International Conference on Database and Expert Systems Applications (DEXA’02, DEXA'11, DEXA’16, DEXA’17 and DEXA’18) and The International Conference on Future Data and Security Engineering - FDSE 2016 and FDSE 2017 (LNCS/Springer). He was a guest editor of 4 special issues of the International Journal of Computer Systems Science and Engineering (Mobile Databases, Data Management in Grid and P2P Systems, and Mobile Data Management, Elastic Data management in Cloud Systems). He is currently (Since March 2009) co-editors-in-chief of the International Journal “Transactions on Large-scale Data and Knowledge-Centered Systems”, LNCS, Springer (http://tldks.irit.fr).
