Ms Katherine Mika
Katie Mika, Assistant Professor, Data Services Librarian, University of Colorado Boulder. Katie earned a Master of Science in Library and Information Science and a Master of Arts in History from Simmons College in 2015. She has worked as a Digital Archivist and most recently served as a 2017 National Digital Stewardship Resident with the Biodiversity Heritage Library and the Museum of Comparative Zoology at Harvard University. Her current research projects include developing new incentive structures for publishing faculty research data, supporting computational research using library and archives collections data and metadata. She also facilitates the contribution of bibliographic metadata to Wikidata as part of the WikiCite initiative to disambiguate and expose library and archives catalog data for use across the Wikimedia universe and promote the creation of citations that are structured, separable, and open.
