Prof Peter Cornwell Chair
I'm director of the Data Futures project at the University of Westminster and research fellow at the École normale supérieure lettres et sciences humaines Lyon. I studied art history in the Netherlands and electronics and computing science at University of London, joining Texas Instruments Inc. in 1982. I became director of European research and development for industrial systems and since then I've contributed to manufacturing automation and OpenGL standards initiatives and completed the IPO of a California technology company. I've been a director of several other U.S. and European companies and of the Institute of Visual Media at ZKM, Karlsruhe, Germany as well as professor of public art at Angewandte, Vienna and Central Saint Martins, London, and visiting professor of distributed computing at Imperial College, London and at Southampton.
