My graduate and post-doctoral training was in bioorganic chemistry. I became interested in cheminformatics after attending a workshop given by Gary Wiggins at the Biennial Conference on Chemical Education (BCCE) at Purdue University in 2006. I have since earned a Graduate Certificate in Cheminformatics from Indiana University. I teach at a small undergraduate institution and my primary interest is preparing undergraduate students for 21st century chemistry including an awareness of the digital and computational landscape.
