Rising John Osazuwa

Rising John Osazuwa is a Principal Systems Analyst in the Management Information System Unit, University of Ibadan, Nigeria, Open Educational Resources Facilitator, ICT Development Consultant/Facilitator, Horizon 2020 sponsored Sci-GaIA Project - Science Gateway Champion, Institutional Repository Designer, Research Metadata Management Expert & Enterprise Investor. He is an ICTD/IDRC emerging Scholar and member of Council, the Free Software and Open Source Foundation for Africa (FOSSFA). He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Entrepreneurship & Corporate Governance, Member, Nigeria Computer Society and Member, Nigerian Institute of Training and Development. He is a member of the West Africa Internet Governance team, ict@innovation and Open Source Foundation for Nigeria (OSFON). He is an alumnus of the University of Benin, Nigeria; Diplo Foundation, Geneva, Switzerland; International Telecommunication Union Academy Geneva, Switzerland and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit, GIZ, Germany. He has a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Computer Science from the University of Benin, Nigeria. His postgraduate programme in the National Open University of Nigeria is on-going. Rising is a Fellow of MacArthur Foundation and the African Network Information Centre (AfriNIC). He consults for institutions on information systems, internet governance, cyber security, data warehousing, e-learning, enterprise development, capacity building and research and education network.
