Silvia Matrai is a psychologist, master in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Psychopathology, and Health Care Management. She worked as a clinical psychologist for more than 6 years in different health settings, including medical inpatients, pre- and postpartum psychopathology, cancer patients, and addictions, and also has experience in clinical research. She has several publications in scientific journals. External advisor of Médecins Sans Frontières on mental health related issues. In November 2008 she joined the Addictions, Lifestyles and health research unit of HCB. Since then, she has been the Project Manager of the units’ EU funded projects (FP7: AMPHORA, ODHIN, ALICE RAP; DG-Home: LEADER) and has worked as the site manager of phase III RCTs involving medical products in patients diagnosed with AUD. She has attended training courses on a regular basis on IPR and innovation aspects and management in research projects with a specific focus on Horizon2020, organized by IPR Helpdesk (https://www.iprhelpdesk.eu/) and the Institute of Health Carlos III, the main public research entity funding, managing and carrying out biomedical research in Spain. She has also been collaborating with the Technology Transfer Office of HCB and the European Projects Office of FCRB in order to set up joint IPR management and technological monitoring protocols to implement in international collaborative public-private research and business partnerships in the biomedical field. She has acquired expertise on strategies and methods of multi-stakeholder and inter-sector participatory knowledge co-creation, in particular in digital health.
