I am originally from Cork (Ireland). I have a degree in Geography & Economics from University College Cork, an MSc in Cities from King’s College London, and an MA in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Westminster. I am currently studying for my PhD at the Gran Sasso Institute in L'Aquila (Italy). My research focuses on the interaction between the planning system and vacant properties in the Republic of Ireland. I am also involved in other research projects such as an investigation into post-earthquake L’Aquila as well as researching the experiences of international students pursuing their PhDs in Italy.
