Dr Michelle Harricharan
After a research career in the intersections of health, communication and technology, and experiencing first-hand the enormous opportunities and challenges of data-intensive science and open data, I moved into research data management with a specialisation in health and medical data in 2016. In my current role I manage the development, implementation and evaluation of research data management policies, processes and infrastructures at St George’s, University of London. I am an institutional champion for open data, and enabling trust, transparency and innovation in scientific practice though open, collaborative science. I also have experience in research enterprise and entrepreneurship, with a focus on ideation, innovation and collaborative value creation for the health sector. This work was made possible with the kind support of InnovateUK, the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) and university business incubator, SETsquared.
