This workshop aims to provide the Iberian research community a deeper knowledge about RDA objectives and actions and to promote the participation of Spanish and Portuguese research stakeholders in RDA activities. It will be an open event which will facilitate exchange of opinions and a plural discussion forum among all the research data stakeholders (researchers, technicians, data professionals, policy makers, infrastructure and data providers, librarians, computer scientists, etc.) interested in RDA.

This event also aims to lay the foundations for the creation of RDA–Iberia, a branch of RDA similar to other national/regional organizations which are being set up in several European countries.

The workshop is co-organized by Maredata a Spanish network about Open Research Data (CSO2015-71867-REDT), The Spanish Supercomputing Network (RES) and INESC TEC - University of Porto. It will be mainly in “Portuñol” (Spanish and/or Portuguese).
