Short introduction describing any previous activities:

This group has been working together to understand some of the shared challenges in linking across various stages of the research lifecycle, and across platforms/countries, but have not yet coordinated the discussion within the context of the RDA framework. We are curious to see if the broader RDA community is interested in this topic. If so, we will use this session to identify possible areas to focus initial efforts, with the goal of establishing a working group.

Several presenters have been involved in existing RDA working groups around physical samples, data usage metrics, and data granularity.
