Back to Plenary 21 - Part of IDW 2023
The Call for Sessions for RDA's 21st Plenary.
The Research Data Alliance 21st Plenary as part of International Data Week 2023 will be organised as a hybrid event and is scheduled to take place 23–26 October 2023, Salzburg, Austria.
All P21 Breakout Sessions will be held in hybrid format and broadcast to virtual participants; virtual participants will be able to join any breakout session and interact with in-person attendees. Please note, fully virtual sessions will not take place at P21.
In addition to the live sessions at the conference venue, P21 will be held on an event platform. Once the platform is confirmed, all registered participants will be able to view the program, access live-streamed presentations of the speakers, and links to the various sessions and their recordings.

New to RDA?
Find out more about breakout session types below.
- Working, Interest Group and Community of Practice Sessions and Joint Meetings: the meeting format is typically interactive and informational, giving both group members and new RDA members an opportunity to learn about the groups’ objectives and progress to date and in achieving deliverables, while also collaborating to determine and implement next steps regarding adoption and other related activities.
- Birds of a Feather: provide members an opportunity to consider potential topics that could be recommended for the creation of new Working and/or Interest groups. Topics should be sufficiently distinct from the work of existing groups or BoFs held at recent plenaries.
