Travel and visa requirements

All delegates are recommended to ensure they have the correct visas and passport to travel to the RDA 20th Plenary meeting in Gothenburg, Sweden. 


Visa to enter Sweden

  • EU and EEA traveller

Citizens from EU and EEA national do not require a visa to enter Sweden. All you need is an identification document or a passport.

  • Non-EU and Non-EEA traveller

If you are a non-EU/EEA traveller wishing to visit Sweden, you will have to apply for a visa. Check if you require a visa here https://www.government.se/government-policy/migration-and-asylum/list-of-foreign-citizens-who-require-visa-for-entry-into-sweden/.

Letter of Invitation

If you need to submit an official letter of invitation from the conference organisers to help facilitate the visa process, please send all requests to rda2023@meetx.se . The letter will be stated in English and may help with your visa application. However, it does not guarantee you a visa. Invitation letters will not be issued to those registering for fully virtual participation.

COVID-19 entry restrictions

There are currently no COVID-19 related requirements regarding test or self-isolation when entering Sweden. This situation will be regularly monitored.
