RDA will be running a virtual Plenary meeting from 18 March to 10 April

Dear P15 Delegates and RDA Community Members,

Further to the cancellation of the 15th Plenary Meeting from 18-20 March 2020, together with the local organising committee, the RDA Technical Advisory Board and RDA Secretariat we would like to honour and build on the huge amount of work that you have all invested in preparing your breakout session meetings and your participation to the event. Furthermore, we would like to facilitate the integration of new Australian members to our community as much as possible.

From 18th March to 10th April 2020 we will be running a virtual Plenary meeting, offering session convenors and all members the opportunity to organise and participate in virtual breakout sessions. We are currently working through the details and will provide all the logistics very early next week. In the meantime, I would ask you all to begin thinking about this.

The coordination of the logistics, organisation of meeting rooms, creation and updating of the virtual programme, communication to the community will be facilitated by the RDA Secretariat. The RDA TAB will support the session chairs in the organisation of the meeting. We would like to ensure that the meetings are inclusive, informative and useful for all and we will provide guidelines to help as much as possible.

Finally, we hope to offer some of the plenary keynote addresses and the panel session as live and/or recorded webinars.

Please stay tuned for updates over the coming days on all of this.

Many thanks, as always for your support and dedication to the RDA community. Please remember that your contributions to identifying solutions to the many data challenges are hugely important and valuable.

Warm regards
