RDA for Newcomers at Plenary 10

Chairs: Lynn Yarmey (RDA Secretariat / RDA/US and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute) and Stefanie Kethers (RDA Secretariat and Australian National Data Service)

Due to some meeting time changes and resulting schedule conflicts in the original schedule, we will have to hold a split session for Newcomers.  Please see the following updated event schedule:

  • Newcomers' Information Session on Tuesday, 19 September, 7:45am-8:45am

Our apologies for these changes!

  • There is a "primer" containing some introductory information on the Research Data Alliance, with pointers to further information on the RDA Web site.

  • The email below was sent out to all Plenary 10 participants who registered for the "RDA for Newcomers" session. Even if you haven't received this email, please feel free to email your questions to Lynn Yarmey (yarmel@rpi.edu, @LynnYarmey).

Dear RDA Plenary 10 Registrant,

We are writing to you because you have indicated on the RDA Plenary 10 registration form that you plan to attend the "RDA for Newcomers" session (https://www.rd-alliance.org/rda-newcomers-plenary-10).

Please note that we have had to change the time for the session from the original Programme time. The updated session information is as follows:

The Newcomers’ Meet & Greet at the Welcome cocktail on Monday, 18 September 2017, 17:00 - 19:30, location: Foyer Mont-Royal

The RDA for Newcomers Information session on Tuesday, 19 September 2017, 7:45 – 8:45 (just before the opening plenary), location: Cartier 1&2

In order for us to best meet your needs and expectations, we invite you to let us know what you would like to learn or hear about in the session. Do you have questions about RDA or how to best participate in the Plenary?  If you could email those to Lynn Yarmey (yarmel@rpi.edu, @LynnYarmey) by 15 September 2017, we will do our best to address your questions during the Newcomers’ Meet and Greet or the session on Tuesday morning.

Thank you very much, and we look forward to meeting you in Montréal!
