  • Speed Networking Online Event – 15 February
    Are you interested in meeting more people involved in research data? Join us for the first Research Data Alliance (RDA) Speed Networking Online Event on 15 February from 16:00 - 17:00 UTC. Have fun chatting with others in the Research Data community – colleagues both old and new. All are welcome.  
  • Community Cross-fertilisation Workshop - 23 February
    RDA for FAIR RDA members and those from the wider research data community are invited to attend this workshop on 23 February from 08:30 - 10:15 UTC to discuss the future of FAIR data, software and hardware within the community.
  • WorldFAIR: Image sharing systems and practices in Cultural Heritage - 28 February
    WorldFAIR Work Package 13 (WP13) presents their landscaping report identifying how Cultural Heritage institutions engage with FAIR (examining formats and image delivery technologies). This workshop will aim to have a community discussion around this report.
  • FAIRPoints 'Ask me Anything' webinar on Software and Workflows - date TBC

20 February Deadline to Submit Proposal to EOSC and RDA

EOSC Future and RDA are accepting applications until 20 February from RDA groups as well as other research groups to demonstrate how RDA-developed data-sharing concepts and solutions can be reused, optimised, and implemented in the EOSC context, particularly the EOSC Portal Catalogue and Marketplace. Learn more.

Global RDA Awareness of EOSC Survey

RDA members worldwide are being called to action. Complete a short survey and help the RDA in its role to promote data-sharing and data-driven research. We want to understand awareness in the global Open Science landscape of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC),  a gateway to research data, resources and training materials.

Global Research Commons: Europe and Beyond

RDA and EOSC Future are pleased to collaborate during this half-day satellite event held in conjunction with the RDA 20th Plenary Meeting. International audiences involved in implementing research commons at disciplinary, regional or national levels, as well as funders, data experts and technical managers are welcome to attend. and other implementorin general those implementing research commons. International Data Week 2023, Salzburg

The International Science Council’s Committee on Data (CODATA) and World Data System (WDS), and the Research Data Alliance (RDA) are delighted to announce International Data Week 2023: A Festival of Data, taking place on 23–26 October 2023, in Salzburg, Austria.  IDW 2023 will be hosted by the University of Salzburg through its Data Science and Geoinformatics departments, supported by the Governor of Salzburg and with assistance from the Austrian Academy of Sciences - GIScience and the European Umbrella Organization for Geographic Information. Recommendations with RDA Endorsement in Process -- RDA Metadata Standards Catalog Working Group Final Report

The RDA community is welcome to provide comments on the final report from The Metadata Standards Catalog Working Group. This group developed a directory that would enable researchers, and those who support them, to discover and contribute metadata standards appropriate for documenting their research data through a simple and flexible process.
