RDA Europe spring school on weather, climate and air quality, 25-26 May 2017, Barcelona
The RDA Interest Group on weather, climate and air quality, RDA Europe and the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS) are organising a 2-day Spring School this May 25 to 26, in Barcelona.
Lessons will consist in a mix of lectures and hands-on session. The course will take place on Thursday and Friday, organised in four modules provided in English.
Recommended prerequisites are:
● Basic linux-unix
● Weather/Climate/Air Quality data and tools (nco, cdo, netcdf, …)
Important information:
● General lectures and hands-on sessions will be provided. The participants are expected to bring their own laptops.
● To confirm your participation, please contact organisers by email to Pierre-Antoine Bretonnière (pierre-antoine.bretonniere@bsc.es) or Francesco Benincasa (francesco.benincasa@bsc.es) before the 31st of March 2017.
● The industry and the public sector are encouraged to participate, we especially encourage the participation of young practitioners
● 4-5 students or young engineers will be selected by the programme committee to have their expenses (travel+accommodation) covered
