People who are interested in metadata and interoperability of research data repositories, in particular, repository managers, repository platform developers, publishers, funders, registries, and researchers.
The working group seeks to harmonize a list of common attributes that describe research data repositories with a definition for each attribute, a rationale for its value and use, the feasibility of its implementation, a gap analysis of its current availability from repositories. We will also produce a selection of examples of different approaches currently being taken by repositories to express and expose these attributes to users and user-agents.
This is the first plenary meeting of the working group, which was approved in January of this year and has only begun its work. We would like to use the opportunity of this meeting to welcome and engage new stakeholders who have an interest in research data repositories and metadata.
