Registration
Registration opens in December 2026. Fees are listed below to help you plan ahead.
New for VP28!
Following feedback from the RDA community, VP28 introduces a lighter commitment model to make registration and participation easier. This includes:
- A one-day registration option. Join for a single day instead of committing to the full plenary.
- Complimentary tickets for the BoF day (Monday). Every full-plenary registrant gets one free ticket, valid for the BoF day only, to pass on to someone else.

Payment Methods
- RDA VP28 will use a Whova [hu:va] registration platform.
- Registration fees will be paid in pounds sterling (GBP).
- Whova accepts most credit or debit cards.
- Invoice payment is available. Please contact [email protected] for assistance.
Registration Timeline
- Early Bird registration: December 2026 – 8 February 2027 (23:59 UTC)
- Full fee registration: 9 February – 18 March 2027
- Paying by invoice: 15 February 2027. Payment must be completed within 30 days of receiving invoice
- Registration closes: 18 March 2027

Equality and Diversity Programme for RDA Plenaries (EDPP)
Can you help us support plenary attendees from low, lower-middle, and upper-middle income countries (LMIC)?
The RDA is committed to delivering plenaries that are truly global, culturally diverse, and inclusive. For LMIC members, cost is often a major obstacle to participation in international conferences, including RDA Plenaries.
EDPP: Community-Powered, Community-Proven
Since its launch at the 22nd Virtual Plenary (May 2024), the Equality and Diversity Programme for RDA Plenaries has:
- Sold 29 EDPP tickets across our last three virtual plenaries
- Supported 23 LMIC attendees to join the RDA community, thanks to steady, generous support from members like you
Every ticket makes a difference. Help us keep growing this number for VP28 to increase engagement from LMIC members, particularly those in the Southern Hemisphere.

For RDA members who would like to support LMIC attendees
- Support tickets can be purchased during the VP28 registration (opens in December 2026)
- Fixed cost for one LMIC ticket is $35
- The listing of countries that qualify as LMIC are https://datahelpdesk.worldbank.org/
- Support tickets will be allocated to LMIC attendees on a first-come, first-applied basis
- LMIC attendees will need to apply for support to receive these tickets
- If there are more support tickets purchased than LMIC support request applications, these tickets will be made available to support registration for future plenaries.
For LMIC attendees interested in VP28 registration support. Applications open:
- Applicants must be an RDA member (Check your membership status or join RDA here)
- Applicants must be a resident of an LMIC country: see https://worldbank.org and be able to show proof of status (bank statement, utility bill, payslip or lease agreement)
- Applicants must submit a short application form (see below)
- As registration tickets become available through the support, applicants will be notified on a first-come first-served basis
