Co-Sponsored by RDA/U.S., U.S. cross-agency CENDI, the National Academies, and National Federation of Advanced Information Services (NFAIS)/National Information Standards Organization (NISO), this special one-day workshop for data and information professionals, information technologists, and for disciplinary scientists interested in effective data sharing is focused on the wave of activities related to making data “FAIR” (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable).

Ahead of the first Australian RDA plenary in 2020, the RDA and the Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) are collaborating to present an “RDA meet and greet tour” in Australia from 22 July to 8 August. The tour provides an opportunity to find out more about the work of RDA and to meet Hilary Hanahoe, RDA Secretary General.

This is a chance to find out about RDA activities - particularly those related to PIDs. We'll look at PID projects and share knowledge of use cases. Persistent identifiers are key to linking up the various outputs in the research lifecycle, so this workshop will benefit a variety of research-related roles.
Anthony Juehne, Researcher at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, NY and RDA US will be coming to Greece to make an in depth presentation on RDA Outputs. The workshop will take place at the ATHENA Research Centre in Athens on Wednesday, 3 July, and is expected to last around half a day (starting late in the morning). There will be a follow-up discussion on related community needs and potential adoption of RDA outputs.
