ICSTI WORKSHOPS: ’Enhanced Publications: Approaches to Maximising the Value of Digital Assets to Enhance Scientific Publications’ - and - ‘Scientific Data Repositories : Use Cases, Innovation, and Best Practices’
ICSTI, the International Council for Scientific and Technical Information, will present two related workshops with presentations by10 international experts on data centric topics of central importance.
This 8th OpenAIRE workshop will explore legal hindrances and possible solutions to open up research data.
The RDA Interest Group on Agricultural Data (IGAD) Pre-Meeting will be held on April 3th to 4th, before the 9th RDA Plenary Meeting at the Faculty of Library and Information Science, University of Barcelona.

The 12th International Digital Curation Conference (IDCC17) will be held from 20-23 February 2017 at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd). The conference brings together digital curation professionals and educators with data producers and consumers to consider digital curation in a multi-disciplinary context.
There will be a programme of workshops on Monday 20 February and Thursday 23 February and the main conference will run from Tuesday 21 to Wednesday 22 February 2017.
The NASA Global Hydrology Resource Center (GHRC) Distributed Active Archive Center (DAAC) archives data related to hazardous weather, its governing dynamical and physical processes, and associated applications. The GHRC DAAC addresses common observing system data challenges by providing user services that aim to make atmospheric data more accessible and easy to use across broad-user communities.

As mentioned at the Denver Plenary and at the Nottingham Chairs' meeting, the next (6th) WG/IG Collaboration Meeting will be held on Dec 12-13 at NIST in Gaithersburg, Maryland, which was the site of the 2nd and 4th meetings.
The suggested theme of this meeting is 'Assembling the Pieces: Connecting Outputs with Each Other and with Domain Adoption', although as usual the agenda will be flexible and will depend to a degree on the attendees.
The Internet of Things (IoT) has become more than just a buzzword in technology circles. It’s even fair to say the IoT has evolved into a mature concept impacting a broad range of business sectors, especially including government data collection, information services, and scholarly research.
