Meeting title

Discussion of policy report produced by the OECD High Level Expert Group on International Coordination of Data Infrastructures for Open Science

Short introduction describing the activities and the scope of the group:

The OECD Global Science Forum (OECD-GSF) has been working with partners on a project related to Open Data for Science that builds on previous work by the OECD on Making Open Science a Reality. The aim of the project was to identify key principles and policy actions that can help improve the international coordination and integration of data infrastructures for open science. An analysis of international/regional data networks from different fields of science focussed on issues such as: aims and functions; structure and operational networking models; shared resources; governance and data policies. An Expert Group was established jointly with the ICSU World Data System (WDS) to take forward this work. The draft policy report should be available for discussion by the date of this meeting. Note that the draft report will not have been finally approved by the OECD-GSF and should not be widely circulated beyond those attending the BoF.
