Gaborone Organisational Assembly meeting update and venue

Dear all,
For those of you present in Botswana, the Organisational Assembly will take in the first floor of the Gaborone International Conference Centre (GICC). In order to have some more space (in case multiple members from Council join), we are trying to move from the Operations Boardroom to the San-Ta-Wani Boardroom (as you enter from outside, take the stairs to the left). Yolanda will be checking with the local organisers tomorrow and come back to us. @Francoise: I hope that the lift does work ok.

P12: Making the most of it

Dear all,
RDA P12 is starting out and I wanted to encourage you to make the most of
the opportunities available during IDW2018. As Rob Quick eloquently
mentioned in the TAB/chairs meeting on Monday, this is a chance to build
the bridges that RDA is known for with a geographic community that RDA has
not visited before. I wanted to suggest that as a group we think creatively
about how to engage during the plenary and to continue that engagement
beyond this meeting. If you are chairing a group, you might consider

Re: [tab][rda-oab] For Information: Suggested "Swimlanes" for Plenary 12

Dear Andrew, OAB, TAB, all;
I’d like to make a clarification / correction to the document in relation to the SciDataCon themes.
What is reproduced in the document circulated is the list of SciDataCon session titles for the the morning of Weds 7 Nov.: 09:30-11:00, not the themes.
Please consult the programme for the SciDataCon part of International Data Week at https://www.scidatacon.org/IDW2018/programme/ and navigate between days and slots. The themes (swim lanes if you will / must) are:

Doodle polls for Botswana & December meetings - a clarification

Fotis emailed us all about 36 hours ago to ask us to complete two doodle polls
for the timing of the OAB meetings in Botswana and a call in December. The
behaviour of doodle in respect to timezones has certainly confused me with this,
so in case it has also confused some of you I thought it would be helpful to
clarify with some examples.
Doodle normally tries to convert meeting times to what it believes is your local
timezone. It seems it doesn't do this reliably for everyone - it is for me, but
