TAB has reviewed our charter and, while mostly favourable, they have
suggested a number of areas for further consideration and refinement before
it is approved. I would love to get everyone's thoughts and suggestions on
how we address the feedback of the TAB. If you have any suggestion or

RDA P15 Melbourne - Session Acceptance

At its meeting on December 19, the RDA Technical Advisory Board considered your proposal for a session at Plenary 15 in 2020.

In preparation for Plenary 14 in Helsinki, please refer to the information presented below pertaining to your breakout sessions.


Remote Participation

  • Remote participation will be available in each meeting room through GoToMeeting, which will be running from the laptop provided by the University. By just opening your presentation on this laptop, remote attendees will be able to view your slides and hear you speak.

[SDDI-IG] Session at RDA P14 in Helsinki and the revised draft of the charter

Hi all,
As you would have seen from the email below, we have been successful in
obtaining a session time at the RDA P14. The session is scheduled on the
morning of the 25th October.
The proposed agenda for the meeting is,
1. Presentation - Effective ways of addressing social dynamics to
achieve results across organizations - Greg Madden (20min)
2. Confessions from the chronicles of social Social dynamics (20min)
Short presentations on the success & failures of data interoperability

Plenary 14 Session Submission Deadline Is Thursday!

With Plenary 14 (P14) scheduled to occur from October 23-25, the deadline for session submission is this Thursday, 27 June at 16:00 UTC.

Submissions for meeting sessions are open to working groups, interest groups, joint groups and birds of feather (BoF) meetings.

Please note, however, submissions are accepted from group chairs only. If you submit a session request for a group, please notify the other chairs of that group.

Greg & I have worked on a 1st go at a Charter

the group. We would like to seek feedback and comments from the group on
it. Could you please provide any feedback by *Friday 5th July*. We will
incorporate any feedback and submit it to RDA for consideration in the
following week.

Welcome to the Social Dynamics of Data Interoperability Interest Group

Hi all,
Thank you for joining the Social Dynamics of Data Interoperability interest
group. I would also like to extend a thank you to Greg for agreeing to
co-chair this group. This is the mailing list for this group and will be
used for all of the correspondence.
I am really excited about getting this group going and having it as a place
to bring together our collective wisdom on this topic.
There are two topics that need attention,
1. Establishing this group as an endorsed IG within RDA

Plenary 14: Call for Sessions, Collocated Events, Posters and Registration Now Open! 

Taking place from 23-25 October 2019, the 14th RDA Plenary will take place in Dipoli, the nature-immersed building of Aalto University, Helsinki, in Finland, “one of the happiest countries in the world”, states Per Öster, CSC-IT Center For Science Director and Co-Chair of the P14 Programme Committee.
