Interoperability of Observable Property Descriptions teleconference

by Barbara Magagna

Dear all, we won't meet next Tuesday but the week after because at our last teleconference we decided to meet each first Thursday and each third Tuesday of the month, as some months like this May have five weeks (so not as originally stated: first week of the month and third week of the month). So we meet; Tuesday 21th May at 9:00 CEST (17:00 AEDT, Melbourne). Main topic is to start writing the case statement and organize breakout groups.

AW: [harmonizing-fair] Ontology of possible interest to this group

by Barbara Magagna

Dear all, thank you Ruth. Right after the BoF session I already talked to Maria Stoica who worked together with Scott Peckham on the Scientific Variable Ontology. She is already aware of our group and will join us on one of the next teleconferences. John Graybeal wanted to inform Scott and so I think we have them on board. Best wishes, Barbara Gesendet von Mail für Windows 10 Von: simon.cox Gesendet: Sonntag, 5. Mai 2019 14:17 An: rduerr; Harmonizing FAIR descriptions of observational data WG

Ontology of possible interest to this group

by Ruth Duerr

I've recently talked to Scott Peckham who has been working on ontologies for scientific variables for many years now.  Please see the latest iteration at http://geoscienceontology.org/.  He has moved on, way past just Earth science, to fields such as economics, etc.  I suspect this group needs to be aware of the work he is doing.

sorry for many emails sent out earlier

by Barbara Magagna

Dear all, sorry I have realized that I have sent out too many emails to you a few minutes ago. This is due to unstable internet connections at my site. I simply wanted to change the date of telco from March to April. I am sorry for that, hopefully won't happen again. I wish you a nice weekend, talk to you soon. Barbara

Interoperability of observable properties description - meeting days

by Barbara Magagna

Dear all, This is a gentle reminder for checking the doodles below to choose the meeting days for our teleconferences, I will close them by tomorrow noon. The meeting time was already fixed by me, just the day(s) have to be selected. Unfortunately I mixed up the descriptions of the doodles (indicating wrong times), but I have corrected this early this week. So I invite everybody to check whether these days indicated by you are still valid. We meet twice a month:
