Hi all, I like these themes i.e. "tracking systems for research data" (by Felix) and "metadata management software/middleware in institutional settings" (by James). In the University of Helsinki (where I do part of my working hours now) we have started to discuss about these items unofficially, but we do not have clear project for these - yet. I can imagine that we will have a project in the future because it is predicted that in Finland funders (i.e. ministry of the education and0 | Add new comment

Hi Everyone, I third Felix’s suggestion – we’re in the process of setting up new infrastructure with this as a future goal (so I think a couple steps behind Amy), and agree that it would be a great conversation to host. I will try to make it to the meeting Monday, but if I’m not there I’m happy to also talk more off-line and be involved in the planning. Hi all, Apologies if you have already seen this: Elsevier (and no I don't have a particular interest in Elsevier) has now got a product that does this. See: https://www.elsevier.com/solutions/data-monitor Obviously you will have to pay for this. The primary purpose seems to be to support institutions with their reporting. Hi everyone, What I think would be an exciting topic are tracking systems for research data that are able to harvest metadata of published research data from various institutional but also external subject-specific repositories and list them centrally, with the possibility to filter by institution. I don't think I will be able to attend the meeting on Monday as I am then attending a conference that morning, but wanted to contribute to the possible topics. Hi all, going to be a bit late (prev meeting) but see you then! Actually I like the middleware topic. Right now, in Germany, lots of ideas are thrown in as for that (clearly iRODS, but also Rucio, Min.IO, etc. ... where it is not even clear that functionalities are +/- the same) and it would be good to maybe get some better-quality overview. Dear RDARI Interest Group Members, The deadline for session proposals at the 20th Plenary meeting of the RDA in Gothenburg has rather crept up on us (or at least it rather crept up on me), but it would be great if we could all put our heads together and come up with a good topic to explore in more depth in March. We have been doing some initial thinking along the lines of metadata management software/middleware in institutional settings - technologies such as iRODS, for example - but this is very much up for discussion.0 | Add new comment
