Instrument Identifiers at DataCite

by Ted Habermann

The idea of using DataCite to manage instrument identifier metadata was discussed during the meeting last week. I think this is a fairly straightforward way to get instrument identifiers into the system. Who creates these identifiers and manages the landing pages are important open questions. I focused on how the ideas presented in the current metadata schema might fit into the DataCite Schema. Initial draft with a few ideas attached. Ted Habermann

Dear all, PIDINST WG will have its session in Breakout 1, 2nd April 2019, 11:30 - 13:00, in room Congress A [1,2]. In order to get an idea who may be attending the session, and perhaps engage some of you for one or the other task, I would like to ask you to add your name and email to this list [3]. I won't be on site personally this time but will try to connect remotely. On behalf of the group and co-chairs, I like to thank Rolf Krahl for agreeing to chair the session.
