De zomerstop van 2019 is gebruikt om de cursus 'Essentials 4 Data Support' aan te passen, de laatste jaren zijn de ontwikkelingen immers snel gegaan. De cursus 'Essentials 4 Data Support' blijft zo nog steeds dé inleidende cursus voor degenen die onderzoekers (willen) ondersteunen bij het opslaan, beheren, archiveren en delen van hun onderzoeksgegevens.

FREYA event @ RDA 14 - October 21, 2019

Dear all,
We’d like to invite you to the FREYA co-located event which will take place on October 21st in Helsinki, in the context of the RDA P14. Through demos and tutorials this half-day event will showcase FREYA’s work on the PID Graph and encourage a discussion on the use of PIDs in the context of the EOSC.
The event will have three main parts:
1. Introduction to FREYA: the latest developments of the projects
2. Exploring the PID Graph: demonstrators, interactive tutorials and applications of the PID Graph, and its application in the EOSC

The RDA Secretariat aims to promote the uptake of RDA Recommendations and Outputs across all regions. In this context, the RDA Secretariat is working on a series of webinars that aim to train stakeholders for adoption. The first webinar was on Outputs to support reproducible health research.

Delivering Research Data Management Services

Hi all,
I am so happy to announce to you the MOOC that RDNL and DCC have been developing over the last year.
The MOOC Delivering Research Data Management Services is aimed at individuals who support researchers to manage and share their data, including librarians, IT and information specialists, data stewards, and research office staff.
The MOOC will cover the following topics:
* What research support services are commonly offered and who is responsible for providing them?
* How to perform a gap analysis and what tools are needed?

Engaging researchers with research data: The cookbook - draft for your feedback and comments

The Libraries for Research Data Interest Group, which is part of the Research Data Alliance, has initiated a project, which collected various case studies on how institutions engage with researchers about research data.
Selected case studies have been now written into a draft book: Engaging researchers with research data: The cookbook
The first draft of the book is now available for comments and feedback by 15 August. We would be extremely grateful for your input.
