Re: Schema.org extension for (geo)sciences
Hi Alasdair, Thanks for connecting the dots. I’m glad we are coming together on this. From the ESIP Semantic Technologies side, this was our intention for this coming 6 months. I want to state that Adam Shepherd and Doug Fils have spearheaded the science-on-schema.org work through their hard work. It is looking great but needs to be reviewed by a wide community. Some more responses inline… The science-on-schema.org documentation is really nice, and very easy to follow.0 | Add new comment
Re: Schema.org extension for (geo)sciences
Dear Lewis, All (I’ve added the Bioschemas and RDA data discovery public mailing lists in CC) The science-on-schema.org documentation is really nice, and very easy to follow. https://github.com/ESIPFed/science-on-schema.org I see that your emphasis is on providing documentation on how to use schema.org to markup scientific datasets. Are you aware of the RDA datadiscovery working group?0 | Add new comment

Excellent Review

Hello Discoverers, I think you may find this article useful. It is an excellent lit review and theoretical analysis of user behaviors involved in seeking and evaluating observational data by Kathleen Gregory at DANS with others. http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.11755/650418a9-39f3-4487-b4fb-f087a867fe1b cheers, -m.0 | Add new comment
Moving on with publishing schema.org as JSON-LD for the sciences
Hi datadiscovery@ and esip-semanticweb@ mailing lists, Over on the ESIP side a number of community members have been making progress on the development of a geosci.schema.org extension to schema.org which is intended to adequately describe both science Data Repositories and Datasets. This grew out of the P418 NSF EarthCube project [0] and is now being developed at [1].2 | Add new comment
