The International Science Council appoints 100 new Fellows to help advance its vision of science as a global public good

Dear colleagues
The International Science Council is delighted to announce it has appointed 100 new ISC Fellows, in recognition of outstanding contributions to promoting science as a global public good. 
The International Science Council (ISC) is a non-governmental organization with a unique global membership that brings together 40 international scientific Unions and Associations and over 140 national and regional scientific organizations including Academies and Research Councils.

Global Partnership on AI - Ministerial Declaration New Delhi 2023

Dear colleagues,
The Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence Summit was held in New Delhi from 12-14 December 2023. Twenty-nine international partners, including the USA, the European Union, Japan and India joined together to promote the responsible development and usage of AI. This also builds upon the G20 New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration in 2023.

Information needed on examples of data ethics training included in AI and Data Science curriculum

Dear colleagues,
This is a request for information on AI and Data Science curriculum in universities to help me understand how data ethics training is currently included in teaching. I will greatly appreciate if you can please share some examples of data ethics training provided by your university to researchers, PhD and postgraduate students,  so we can promote some good examples in our Data Ethics in Education campaign.

Open Letter on discussions on the need for UK AI Laws to protect UK citizens

Dear colleagues,
EU is working on the EU AI Act to protect EU citizens. USA has Executive Order on the Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Development and Use of Artificial Intelligence. Are there any laws being developed in the UK similar to EU AI Act to protect UK citizens?
What AI laws and regulations is the UK government developing to protect UK citizens?
