Use Cases, Use Case Template Comments, & Use Case Example

Interest Group Members, The Use Cases and comments on the Use Case Template have been posted to the MIG web site (see File Repository on right-side of the page below the Case Statement. One of the comments that we received in person was to provide an example using the Use Case Template. We have done this for  end-user access to the portal of the EPOS (European Plate Observing System) project. The EPOS Use Case Description describes the use case and Use Case Example is the completed template for this example.

Dear colleagues, I would like to bring to your attention the following call for comments from the W3C Data on the Web Best Practices (DWBP) WG: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-dwbp-wg/2014Oct/0080.html The DWBP WG is working on topics overlapping with the ones addressed by the "metadata" cluster, and it may be worth providing feedback, especially from the perspective of the scientific community. BTW, it is also an opportunity to contribute use cases.

EDDI14 - 6th Annual European DDI User Conference: Draft program available, and registration open

EDDI14, the 6th Annual European DDI User Conference will take place on December 2-3, 2014 in London. The conference is hosted by IOE - Institute of Education, University of London. The conference will bring together DDI users and professionals from all over Europe and the world. Anyone interested in developing, applying, or using DDI is invited to attend. The program offers 30 presentations, 2 reports, 3 tutorials, and 3 side meetings.

INSPIRE Registry: RDF representation now supported

Minimal metadata concept

Does this group can a position on the idea of Minimal Metadata?  The idea was brought up at time in the Data Foundations and Terminology (DT) WG. Some thought that we should define a minimal set such as a name and PID for anything managed as a digital object. Thoughts?
