GeoDCAT-AP: Call for public review

Dear colleagues,
Please find below the call for public review of GeoDCAT-AP, an
extension to DCAT-AP ("DCAT application profile for data portals in
Europe") developed in the framework of the EU ISA Programme to enable
the cross-domain sharing and exchange of geospatial metadata.
GeoDCAT-AP does not define new terms, but uses existing cross-domain
vocabularies (as Dublin Core, DCAT, PROV) to define a harmonised RDF
representation of ISO 19115/19119 metadata, the standard for

Requesting Volunteers

All,

We had volunteers at the 5th Plenary who are interested in working on the catalog and/or the analysis of use cases.   Please let us know if you're interested in volunteering for this project. The amount of time you have available for these activities may vary but we would like to gauge the interest.

all - to day a little more about application profiles. Thy are basically the mixing and matching of existing schemes, and keep us from reinventing the wheel over-and-over. There's a lot of good work, really GOOD work that's been done w.r.t. scheme design, metadata standards, etc., and we duplicate efforts.

I am definitely in the it's a good idea camp on this question, and take it a little further to recommend some pretty specific best practices for how that minimum metadata should be encoded
