Discussion document for DTR Breakout at P11
by Larry Lannom
All, Attached is an updated version of the 'informal spec' document on Types and Type Registries that Giridhar sent around last fall for comment. I propose that we use this document to support discussion at the Breakout on Thursday (Session #6). There will be a brief update on ISO interest in this topic at the Thursday Plenary session on Recommendations and Outputs. Best, Larry0 | Add new comment
Remote Access to P11 Breakout
by Larry Lannom
All, I hadn't realized when I sent the recent note about our P11 Breakout that the remote access instructions are already present on the RDA web page for the session https://rd-alliance.org/wg-data-type-registries-1-2-rda-11th-plenary-meeting It will be a GoToMeeting connection. Fwd: Form submission from: 11th Plenary Group Session Application Form
by Larry Lannom
All, See below for the proposed agenda for a single breakout session at P11 for DTR2, submitted as a session request a few minutes ago. This is quite flexible and comments are welcome on the details. We are coming to the end of this group and need to discuss future RDA activities, if any, in this area. There has been a fair amount of uptake of the concepts, but more work is needed on standardization and best practices. Thanks and I hope to see many of you in Berlin in March.0 | Add new comment
Informal spec on Types and Type Registries - soliciting comments
Hi All, Thanks for attending the call held on Oct 9, 2017. And specifically for sharing your views on the technical direction question I raised. I have uploaded to this site a specification of sorts for types and type registries. Here's a link to that document: Informal spec on Types and Type Registries - soliciting comments The document is informal in nature and also has a few gaps to be filled. We will formalize the document in the next few weeks.0 | Add new comment
New URL and reminder for today's DTR call
by Larry Lannom
All, We have GoToMeeting session on part of the topic we did not get to cover in Montreal - whither the ISO group, followed by Next Steps in general if we have time. The call is in a little less than 90 minutes from now (14:00 UTC). We are scheduled for one hour. I tried the connection this morning to make sure I knew what I was doing, not realizing that this apparently changes the meeting specific link. The new one appears below. Apologies for any confusion.
