Dr. Libby Ellwood appointed as new BDI IG chair

Dear BDI IG members,

This is to inform you that we have not received objections or alternative candidates for Libby Ellwood as proposed new chair. Therefore Libby is now accepted as a new co-chair for the Biodiversity Data Integration interest group and replaces Dimitris Koureas.

I would like to extend a warm welcome to Libby, and thanks for stepping forward as a volunteer for this position! Together with the other chairs I am looking forward to a fruitful collaboration.

New co-chair for the BDI IG

Dear BDI IG members,

In our plenary session we discussed that we should have more involvement from the infrastructures in our group. This resulted in iDigBio now being in the process of joining RDA as an institutional member.

iDigBio is also offering to have Dr. Libby Ellwood from the US as new co-chair for the BDI IG. Libby is iDigBio Global Communications Manager and an ecologist with interests in climate change, conservation and citizen science.
