The RDA 26th Plenary meeting (RDA VP26) will be held as a fully virtual event on the event platform Whova [hu:va] between 16-20 March 2026, under the theme ‘Data continuity for research resilience‘. RDA Groups and RDA members are now invited to submit a session proposal indicating an interest in organising a meeting for VP26.

Call for Sessions
RDA Plenary Meetings are working group meetings that bring together our unique community of diverse stakeholders, including data scientists, librarians, computer scientists, and researchers.
We invite submissions from:
- RDA Groups (Working Groups, Interest Groups, and Communities of Practice) who are interested in holding a working meeting during the RDA 26th Plenary.
- RDA Members who are interested in gauging interest around a certain topic for a potential RDA Group. These members are invited to submit a proposal for a Birds of a Feather (BoF) Session. The expected outcome from the session would be a decision by the participants to either convert the idea to an Interest Group or Working Group, or to retire the idea.

The RDA has been working since 2013 to create solutions to allow researchers to openly share and re-use data across technologies, disciplines, and countries.
Data continuity is essential for research resilience. As the research and scientific landscape faces institutional changes, technological transitions, and global disruptions, VP26 brings together the RDA community to address critical challenges in maintaining access to research data. Through collaborative sessions, RDA groups and individual members will explore strategies for building robust data infrastructures, preserving research outputs, and ensuring data remains accessible regardless of the challenges.
