The US region of the Research Data Alliance (RDA/US) invites applications for its Data Share fellowship program. The program’s goal is to engage early career researchers in the US in RDA, a dynamic global organization that seeks to eliminate the technical and social barriers to research data sharing.
Dr. Anne Thessen, RDA/US Data Share Fellow 2014-2015, was recently appointed an RDA/US Data Share Ambassador for 2016. In this role she will spread the word about the RDA/US Data Share Fellowship and help the Fellows connect and engage at the RDA plenary meetings.
This talk will present a concept of infrastructure as a body of human, organisational, and machine relationships built around data. It will illustrate how a new organization, the Research Data Alliance, is working to build the relationships to enable functional data sharing and reuse.

RDA Recommendations are specific technical approaches and high level policy guidelines developed by RDA Working Groups to assist data users in overcoming common data sharing roadblocks and ultimately, accelerate collaboration and innovation worldwide.
