I am a research fellow in the department of Computer Science at the University of Sheffield. I work in the field of knowledge extraction and management, specializing in natural language processing for knwledge extraction and ontology population.
I have participated in various EU and national projects covering multilingual thesaurus creation, corpus building and annotation, lexical semantics, information extraction in various domains, semantic resource analysis, and ontology creation and evaluation.
I am particularly interested in existing and de facto standards for ensuring the interoperability, consistency and discoverability of content at the granular representation level of individual knowledge elements.
