Volker Beckmann

Since September 2020 Volker Beckmann is responsible for the implementation of the EOSC in France at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Space (MESRE). He is the chair of the ESFRI-EOSC Task Force, French delegate on the EOSC Steering Board and at e-IRG, serves on the Horizon Europe programme committee for research infrastructures and coordinates the update of the e-infrastructure part of the French national roadmap for research infrastructures.

Before joining the ministry, he worked as astrophysicist and data scientist in Germany, Italy, at NASA in the US, in Switzerland and finally at CNRS in France.
