I am combining my educational/academic background in agricultural biotechnology (BSc, MSc and PhD) with my personal interest & experience in agri-food information & knowledge management, data & metadata management workflows, knowledge organization systems (KOS) and linking agricultural data sources. I have a long experience in Open Access and Open data -related activities in the agri-food sector and have worked with some of the most important organizations in this field. Throughout the years, I have collaborated with a number of organizations, including Agroknow (GR), UN FAO (IT), The Open Data Institute (UK), the Greek Research & Technology Network (GRNET; GR), the University of Alcala (ES), the Agricultural University of Athens (GR), IFOAM EU (BE) etc.
I am currently working for NEUROPUBLIC (http://www.neuropublic.gr/en/), a Greek SME that designs and develops Smart Farming services, based on its long-time experience with Web Information services. Through my position I try to raise awareness about the outcomes of NEUROPUBLIC and explore opportunities for collaborations with stakeholders both within and outside Greece.
