Thabo Semong received his PhD and MEng, both in Computer Science from Hunan University, China in 2018 and 2009 respectively. He received his BSc in Computer Science from the University of Botswana in 2005. He’s currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Information System at the Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST) in Botswana. He is the coordinator for the BIUST-Huawei Academy. He is also the coordinator of the BIUST Commercial Drones. Between 2009 and 2011, he worked as a systems/network analyst at the Department of Information Technology (DIT) in the Botswana Government. In 2011, he moved to the School of Computing and Information Systems at the Botswana Accountancy College (BAC) as a computing lecturer, before joining BIUST in 2012. His research interests are Software Defined Networking, Wireless Sensor Networks, Mobile and Cloud Networks with AI, UAV Network, IoT and 5G wireless network.
