Stefanie is currently the Program Manager (Data Challenges) at the Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC). Previously, she was a member of the RDA Secretariat from 2012, prior to the RDA launch, and the RDA Director of Operations from 2017 - 2022 before taking up a role as Solutions Architect and Program Coordinator in the ARDC Translational Research Data Challenges program.
Stefanie received her Dr. (ph.D.) in Computer Science from RWTH Aachen University, Germany, in 2000 with a thesis on modeling and analyzing cooperative processes. She worked as a researcher at RWTH Aachen University in Germany, and CSIRO and Monash University in Australia on a variety of projects on, among others, archival services for Koorie communities, researchers’ data management practices and needs, and improving handover processes in hospitals.
