Slava Tykhonov
Slava (Vyacheslav) Tykhonov is the Head of AI and Interoperability at CODATA. He has worked for more than 25 years in the field of AI, research, and innovation for national and international research infrastructures. For many years, he has been an active member of the open-source community and, since June 2025, has served as a Harvard Dataverse Ambassador. As a knowledge engineer and Semantic Web enthusiast, Slava has explored and implemented new solutions and data services, ranging from data enrichment to long-term archiving.
Over the past decade, Slava has participated in various projects, including projects funded by the European Commission. As a knowledge engineer and Semantic Web enthusiast, he has explored and implemented innovative solutions and data services, from AI and data enrichment to long-term archiving. Slava is also a co-author of the emerging Croissant for Machine Learning standard and an active contributor to the Cross-Domain Interoperability Framework (CDIF), which is intended to produce AI-ready and FAIR data.
