Rosie Allison

Rosie Allison holds a master’s degree in Media and the Creative Industries from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and History from the University of Liverpool.

Originally from North Yorkshire, England, Rosie has lived abroad for several years. She taught English as a second language in Italy for three years, before moving to the Netherlands and joining LIBER (Association of European Research Libraries). At LIBER, Rosie worked on EU funded projects on a variety of topics such as access to digital culture, citizen science, and developing the SSH side of the EOSC.

As Communication Coordinator at LIBER, she worked to advance the voice of research libraries and their stakeholders across Europe and throughout the wider Open Science community. It was this experience that cemented her passion for advancing open knowledge, and the importance of clear, effective communication in furthering the Open Science movement.

At RDA Europe, Rosie will utlise her communicative skills and experience to further the work of RDA, its members, communities and groups. Working closely with the global Secretariat, her role will ensure the range of RDA’s activities and outputs are shared and adopted across the network and beyond.
