Pedro Mendes
I’m assistant professor of Chemical Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico (Portugal). I enjoy solving chemical engineering design problems in a collaborative manner with a strong emphasis on education. My research mainly aims at (i) understanding how catalysts work via mathematical models (catalysis informatics) and (ii) design sustainable processes by combining knowledge of all scales (multi-scale modelling). I have been actively promoting open data practices in the field of catalysis and training young scientists on FAIR data sharing.
